Sidhaarth and his 5 th grade Computer science exam

Today in the evening around 6:30 pm when I was in Estancia office, Sidhaarth called me and asked me where are you and when are you coming to home. I told, I am in Estancia office only and i will start from office around 7:30 pm today. He said, he is having some doubt in computer science and want to get clarified with me as mother is not allowed him to use computer.

I told him that I will come and we both sit and discuss.

Later after we all had dinner around 10:30 pm, I asked sidhaarth that you told me to come early to home because you had some doubt. Let me know your doubt, I will try to clarify.

He asked me that What is twitter and Picassa ? And told that twitter will handle max of 140 characters. I sometime back heard that they twitter doubled the character count. I searched and found that they increased it to 280 characters. I informed the same.

Later he gave his book and asked me about what is Myspace. I never heard about it by that time.
So I decided to read out louder to him about the various topics that covered in his chapter - 8 ( Internet for connecting with people ).

I came to know that myspace is one such social networking site which was popular before facebook.
And read about facebook, twitter, online telephony, picassa and blogs.

I explained him each and every content in his book w.r.to the above topics and finally searched and showed him my blog.

Later I realized that I wrote my last blog on December , 2013. And also read those blogs to him. Most of the blogs are based on the incident that happened to him or between me and sidhu and I got goosebumps while reading some of the written blogs.

Then he told me that why you are writing these information and then told that he want to write blog and he will do it when he grown up.

Immediately i decided to write about this and that made me to write this blog after a very very long time. Going forward will try to write more often about my 2 kids ( yes now i have 2 kids ) younger one named :Saathvik Sadasivam (noughty boy).

Two things that happened between Sidhaarth and me

On 21-Dec-2013, Sidhaarth accompanied me and we both went to the KVB at K.K.Nagar. When we were there in the bank to get the entry in the pass book. I know that the one of the lady in that bank has squt eyes. And Sidhu also noted the same when he came some times back. he looked at the lady on the cabin and said to me that "Appa, her eyes are normal now" and repeat the same to that lady too. She was embarasing and she pretend like not heard any thing from sidhu.

After I got the entry in the passbook, I came out of that bank and told sidhu that, you should not tell like this to her. We never point out once physical disablities. And he said okey appa, I will not tell like this hear after.

22-Dec-2013, Sidhaarth and myself went out for a play in the park near by to k.k.nagar. In the weekends we used to go to the near by park ( Sivan Park or Park near to Sidhu's school ). But this time I thought of taking him to the park which is behind the Coton Zone which we never went but we heard there is a park in that area from my brother Srikrishnan.

So I thought of taking him to that park. I usually take him by walk or by bicycle. This time, we both plan to go by walk. I have another thought that before we get into the park, I would like to enquire for a dance class ( salsa or what ever) for my kid sidhu. This is mainly to make him fit. Because, now-a-days he put some weight and his doctor also mentioned the same to me.

We went to Dance Point which is located opposite to Cotton Zone. We went downstairs and enquired about the same. They asked for his age and told that, for him the time slot was on every weekend between 10.00 am to 12.00 pm. For the first time we have to pay 1750/- and after that every month 1100/- per month. At that time, I told that master ( Mr. Praveen ) that, this is basically to make Sidhu fit. Now a days he is pushti ( put some weight). That is the reason for me to put him in dance class. At that time sidhu had a shy smile.

When we both came out of that Dance Point and started walking towards the park, he asked me that surprised question. Appa why you say pushti. You can say like he is not lean instead of pushti.

I was surprised with the way he asked me this question and suggested me how to put it the other way.

I laugh at me and took him with my hands and kissed him on his fore head and said "I Love you Sidhu".

I know he is too good in dealing with the persons and he now how to talk and flat others.

I love you Sidhu.

Went to Coimbatore to attend Panja Bootha Aarathana at Isha Yoga Center on 6 - July - 2013 and on the next day 7 - July - 2013 went to Velliyangiri - Thenkailayam trek with Siva Rama Krishnan and Karthi

Urticaria - skin allergy and Sidhaarth

Few weeks back, when we ( Sidhaarth , my wife and myself ) were sleeping, sidhaarth woke me up at mid night at around 2.15 am and told that he was not able to sleep by keeping his back flat on the bed. When I switch on the light and saw his back, I was shocked. Found that there was a big swelling on his right back shoulder.

So my wife and I decided to took him to the hospital. Went to Surya Hospital at vadapalani. Also informed to my brother Karthi. He also joined us at Surya Hospital.
Dr Srikanth ( pediatrician ) observe his skin and the swelling and ask Sidhaarth to take a deep breath.
And ask sidhaarth that he felt any pain while breathing. He said no.

Dr told that this is because of some allergy and may be because of some food which cause this. And told that the name of the allergy as "Urticaria".

He surprised that it should come all over the body. But in Sidhaarth cause, it came in only one place.

Gave allergy syrup. And told that if he feel any breathing problem then ask us to bring him immediately to the hospital.

Thank God and after that he didn't felt any breathing problem. After taking the syrup he went to sleep. Next day morning swelling went off  and he was normal.

தத்துவம் ( Thatuvam )

தத்துவம்

My friend and office colleague ( thiyagu ) who is residing nearer to my house ( opposite to thabovanam), used to do a car pooling alternative days to travel to our office ( Zoho Corp ) for the past 8 months.

When I was travelling to office in his car on thursday Dec 02 , 2010 , I was happened to see a தத்துவம் (thathuvam) on the back door of a vehicle . Immediately , I took my camera and clicked it.

Below is the Thathuvam.

It was simple and really really TRUE.

Yesterday evening ( 31 - 10 - 2010 ) I went out with my kid to purchase few crackers. At that time a small insect fall in my left eye . Because of that some irritation happened in my eyes. I just took that fly and I left my eye as it is. But in the night, my eye got more reddish and it looks like Madras eye or some eye infection. I dont know exactly what it is ( god only knows ??? ). I used an eye drops Toba* DM ( which was subscribed by my friend for sidhaarth a week before as he got some eye infection / madras eye ). Till now Iam using it ( 3 times a day ) and I felt some improvement in my eyes.

Because of that , I was unable to go to office today. I plan to go to office today that I have to decide based on how my eye got progressed tomorrow. let me wait and see.. !!!

இரண்டாம் மொட்டை - வைதீஸ்வரன் கோவில் - மயிலாடுதுறை அருகில்.
முன்றாம் மொட்டை - நாகூர் தர்கா - அதுவும் மயிலாடுதுறை அருகில்.
நாங்கம் மொட்டை - திருமருகல் - அதுவும் மயிலாடுதுறை அருகில்.

Sidhaarth , Elayaraja and Sixth Disease

My kid ( sidhaarth ) got a high fever on 14 th July 2010 morning and in the evening he got rashes on his chest and back. Fortunately we (my kid and my wife) were @ west mambalam to attend a relative reception. So we decided to meet Eliyaraja and went to chinmayanagar where he is having his clinic ( Kutti's Clinic ).

He gave crocin and suggest us to come if he is having the itching and high temperature for more than 24 hrs. So we went to my brothers (Srikrishnan) house @ kk nagar and stayed there. Next day, till in the evening he got fever and his intake was very poor, my father and my wife went to Elai's clinic and immediately Elai gave a letter to the Soorya hospital which has the instruction to take blood test to verify whether it is a Dengue Fever or not and asked us to admit sidhu @ soorya Hospital @ vadapalani.

In the same day night at around 11.30 pm he came to the hospital and saw the blood test result and confirmed that it is not Dengue Fever. And his hunt went on till next day morning and called me at around 11 am and said that he suspected that this is a viral infection called SIXTH DISEASE .

Drips with antibiotics went on for a day and Sidhu got recovered from this fever. Elai told us to apply lacto calamine lotion on sidhu's body when ever he feel itchy. And Sidhu was in observation for another 24 hours and he got discharged on the next day (17th July 2010 ). i.e. on Elai's Birthday.

Sidhu gave a Thank You card to him . Instead , if we know his birthday in advance , we might celebrate it in the hospital.

Elai's working hours are very long and he is working untiring and with atmost 100% concentration on every activity, and that is very very important for a Doctor and he is Best at it. Iam very much proud to be a friend of Eliyaraja.

Thank You Eliyaraja for providing 100% effort to keep my kid in safe zone.

நான் குடி இருக்கும் காலனி இல் வாரா வாராம் , ஸ்லோக கிளாஸ் நடக்கும். எங்கள் காலனி இக்கு வெளியே இருந்து ஒரு குரு ( வாத்தியார் ) வந்து சுலோகம் சொல்லி தருவார். நானும் அந்த க்ளச்சுக்கு சென்று கொண்டு இருக்கின்றேன். ஆறு மதத்துக்கு முன்னர் , என் மகன் சித்தார்த்தை அழைத்து கொண்டு செல்லலாம் என்று முடிவு செய்து , அவனையும் அழைத்து சென்றேன் . என்ன ஆச்சர்யம் , அவனுக்கு ஸ்லோக கிளாஸ் மெகவும் பிடித்து விட்டது . என்ன, ஸ்லோக கிளாஸ் ஒன்பது மணிக்கு ஆரம்பித்தால் , அவன் ஒன்பது பத்திற்கு தூங்கி விடுவான். சரியாக பத்து பத்திற்கு அல்லது "ஒம் ஜெய் ஜகதீச ஹரே" பஜன் செய்யும்போது முழிப்பு வந்து விடும். உடனே எழுந்து உட்கார்ந்து கை தட்ட ஆரம்பித்து விடுவான் . அவனிற்கு அது ரொம்ப பிடித்து இருக்கின்றது . அதனால் இன்னமும் அவனை ஸ்லோக கிலச்சிற்கு அழைத்து சென்று கொண்டு இருக்கின்றேன்.

ஆது என்னவோ தெரியவில்லை , அவனுக்கு அந்த "ஒம் ஜெய் ஜகதீச ஹரே " பாடல் ரொம்ப பிடித்து விட்டது. வீட்டில் அவனை துங்க செய்யும்போதோ அல்லது அவனுக்கு துக்கம் வரும்போதோ அவன் என்னிடம் வந்து "ஒம்" "ஒம்" என்று சொல்லுவான். பின்னர் அவனை மடியில் போட்டுகொண்டு "ஒம் ஜெய் ஜகதீச ஹரே" பாடலை பாடினால் அப்படியே துங்கி விடுவான்.

அவனுக்கு, தாளத்தின் மீதும் அலாதி பிரியம் உண்டு. நாங்கள் வெளியூர் சென்ற சமயம் அவனுக்கு ஒரு டோலக் வங்கிநோம் . அவன் அதனை எடுத்து கொண்டு வந்து என்னிடம் நீட்டி "ஒம்" "ஒம்" என்று சொல்லுவான். பின்னர் அதை வைத்து ஒம் ஜெய் ஜகதீச ஹரே பாடலை பாடி தோலகில் வாசித்தல் அவன் மிகவும் உற்சாகம் அடைந்து ஆடம் ஆட தொடங்கி விடுவான்.

என் மனைவி அடிக்கடி சொல்லுவார்கள் , இவனுக்கு தாளத்தில் மெகவும் இஷ்டம் என்றும், எவனுக்கு மிருதங்கம் சொல்லி தரவேண்டும் என்றும் , அதுவம் நெய்வேலி ஸ்கந்த சுப்ரமணியம் அவர்களிடம் தான் கற்று கொடுக்க வேண்டும் என்றும் சொல்லுவார். ( பார்க்க பி.கு:- )



நானும் தான் ஆறாவது படிக்கும் பொழுது, ஒரு வருடம் மிருதங்கம் கற்றுக்கொண்டேன். பின்னர் , பள்ளியில் பெஞ்சில் நன்றாக தாளம் போடுவேன். வீட்டில் , காட்டில், கதவு மற்றும் டேபிள் அனைத்திலும் டப்பாங் குத்து குத்துவேன். ( இப்படி செய்வதால் என் பாட்டி , அம்மா , அப்பா விடம் நன்றாக திட்டும் வாங்குவேன் ).

எனக்கு தாளத்தில் இஷ்டம் என்பதால் நான் அவனை திட்ட போவது எல்லை . அட அவனுக்கு இப்போ தான் ஒரு வயசு நன்கு மதம் ஆகின்றது . அதுக்குள்ளயுமா ? பார்ப்போம் அவனுக்கு என்ன எழுதி இருக்கோ ? ... மகனே சித்தார்த் !! இன்னும் " லாங் வே டு கோ கண்ணா "

பி கு :- அட அது என்ன குறிப்பா ஸ்கந்த சுப்ரமணியம் ? . அவர் யார் ? அட அது ஒன்னும் இல்லிங்க , அவர் என்னோட தூரத்து சொந்தம் அவளோதான் . அதாவது என் அக்காவின் கணவரோட தங்கச்சியோட கணவரோட தம்பி தாங்க அவர்.

Family Trip to Hyderabad - Part - I

We all went for a long ( 4 days ) trip to Hyderabad. My family with my brother family with my dad went there to for site seeing . This is the first time we all went to hyderabad. As myself and my brother both are working for the same company ( Zoho Corp ) @ chennai, we left the office on Sep 30 afternoon to K.K.Nagar house, where they (my family and by brothers family with my father ) all make the things set ready for the trip. As we have a Huge Luggage bags, they already booked the Fast Track call taxi to go to Central Railway Station. It came in time @ 3.00 pm in the evening, and we all went to central station at around 3.40 pm . With all the luggages + 20 ltr water can with 2 kids ( my kid - sidhaarth natarajan and my brother kid - mridhula ) we board the train at 4.00pm . For my son Sidhaarth, I think this is the first long journey in train. Before we took him to kottiyam for my friends ( Gnanasekar ) marriage on Jan 26th 2009.

I played with my son in the house saying how train sounds and how it moves and how the announcement was made in the Railway Station. Once we board the train, he listern for the announcement and used to laugh at it. We all enjoyed on how he react to that. And frequently he keep his hand near his mouth and sounds "koo juf juf juf" like train by shaking his body ... It is love to watch. As the time strikes 4.15 pm my father want TEA. We use to have tea in the evening ( Tea Family ) , so we decide to buy TEA for all of them . Myself and my brother went to saravana bhavan @ central station. ( Damin guys , we used to get tea @ 7/-Rs few years back . But now it cost 12/- . Tomuch for a tea). And we all had a Tea.

Train depart at the correct time ( 4.45pm ) and through out the journey we all had a great time just playing with the kids and making them laugh. We had a dinner at 7.00 pm which was specially prepared @ home. As there is no lower birth, my wife ( priya ) seems to be uncomfortable in sleeping with my kid in the middle birth. As my son slept from 7.00 pm to 7.45 pm , he doesnt want to sleep at 9.00 pm itself and my wife want to make him sleep at 9.00 pm trying hard by in wain. He slept at around 11.00 pm. In the mean time , I was settled at upper birth to see the movie which I loaded in my fathers ipod.

At 11.00 pm , myself and my son slept at the upperbirth and it was very hard to sleep @ the upper birth or even any of the birth with the kids. There is no proper air circulation if the train stops @ the station. From my experience , best place to sleep with the kids in the order of preference is side lower birth , upper birth and side upper birth.

Train reached (Hyderabad) Secandrabad @ 5.00 pm. we all get down at the station. Priya's uncle ( Balaji mama ) came to receive us. We all went to their home which is located at Dr.A.S.Rao Nagar.

Their House was cool and good and they maintained their house beautifully. In the Drawing room they had 42 inch sony LCD tv with Sony Home theatre . On one side they kept Dhivan and on the opposite to the TV , they kept Sofa. House was big and it was more comfortable.
